  25.     This is incorrect.  The PAR  >>>may<<< produce artifacting on
  26. specific image types, but generally produces wonderful images.  To generalize,
  27. the more "computerish" the image, the worst the artifacting.  (Yet another
  28. reason to try for naturalism in your animations.)

  30.     Artifacts are simply errors in the picture, generated by the com-
  31. pression algorithm.
